Description
66 House is a reinterpretation of a modern tropical urban home that emphasizes simplicity, spatial clarity, and natural lighting within a compact residential site. The project was designed to create spaces that feel open and bright while still maintaining privacy from the dense surrounding neighborhood. The building façade features a clean and bold geometric composition combined with concrete breeze blocks as a secondary skin. These elements function as both visual and thermal filters, allowing natural airflow and daylight to enter the house without sacrificing privacy. At night, hidden accent lighting behind the breeze blocks creates dynamic shadow patterns that strengthen the architectural identity of the house along the street. Inside, the spaces are designed with high ceilings and a central void to maximize natural light and cross ventilation. The family area connects directly to an inner garden through large openings, creating a seamless relationship between the interior and exterior. This openness enhances the sense of space while providing a healthy and climate-responsive living environment. The staircase is designed as a light and airy vertical transition element, illuminated by tall windows that bring daylight deep into the ground floor. Wooden stair treads introduce a warm contrast to the neutral-toned interior palette, creating an atmosphere that feels minimal yet comfortable and welcoming. Overall, 66 House represents a functional, efficient, and contextual modern home—combining strong architectural forms with comfortable living spaces while responding to the needs of contemporary urban families through a rational and sustainable design approach.
